The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) was founded in 2005, works to stop bullying, discrimination and homophobia in schools and communities in Canada, and abroad.
We created an illustration for their forum series on 2SQTBIPOC histories.
The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) was founded in 2005, works to stop bullying, discrimination and homophobia in schools and communities in Canada, and abroad. We created an illustration for their forum series on 2SQTBIPOC histories.
We had weekly meetings with our client to collaborate, present the design, and receive feedback for this project in Figma. After understanding their vision we started by sketching the concept.
They wanted 5 different characters, to represent the diverse histories of Two-spirit, queer, trans, black, Indigenous and People Of Colour (2SQTBIPOC) communities. The characters needed to have different skin colours, gender expressions, sizes and inclusive of people with different types of impairment, gathered around a circle and having a discussion.
